Back in March, my mom and I had the opportunity to film a promotional video for The Fox Theatre. It isn’t every day you get to share an experience like that with your mom. I have always known she is an incredible speaker, but seeing her in action was another reminder of just how naturally she connects with people. Proud daughter moment.
Growing up, my grandfather instilled in his children a deep appreciation for the arts. He made sure they learned to play instruments and experienced ballet, theater, and live performances. That love for the arts was passed down to my siblings and me, which is why one of our favorite birthday gifts for my mom was taking her to the Fox Theatre. To later return together and help tell the story of this iconic Atlanta landmark made the experience even more meaningful. It’s a memory we’ll cherish for years to come.A heartfelt thank you to Sarah Marske, Gina Pezzia, Felipe García-Peña Hoyos, Claudia Ortiz, Jamie Vosmeier, Aly Grubb and everyone at the Fox Theatre and Saramar Group for making this experience so special.
If you haven’t visited the Fox lately, now is the perfect time. Whether you’re a Broadway fan, a music lover, or simply looking for a memorable night out, there is something for everyone, including Monty Python’s Spamalot, Hamilton, Mon Laferte, Sara Bareilles, Little Big Town, and Gente de Zona.
