Pivoting Under Pressure: RCE of Greater ATL

In November, TheSharedWorld was proud to partner with the RCE Greater Atlanta and Be On Edgewood to bring the 2025 RCE of Greater Atlanta Quarterly Meeting to life, focused on community, collaboration, and resilience. At a time when one-third of nonprofits cite a lack of partnerships as a major barrier, 70% of cross-sector collaborations fail due to siloed decision-making, and 40% of sustainable development initiatives fall short because of fragmented approaches, this gathering was a reminder that collaboration is not optional.

We welcomed more than 60 guests who heard from RCE Fellows and members, including Jennifer Hirsch, and learned about the mission of RCE Greater Atlanta to localize the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through education, action, and partnership.

Participants also toured three Be On Edgewood tenants and changemakers: ONE Contemporary Gallery, GoodrCo., and the National Center for Race Amity, each demonstrating how art, innovation, and dialogue can advance equity and sustainability at the local level.

The panel discussion, “Pivoting Under Pressure: How Local Nonprofits Are Adapting to Funding and Policy Shifts,” featured leaders from Georgia Asylum & Immigration Network (GAIN), The Georgia Conservancy, and Vertical Activewear, who shared how their organizations are navigating policy and funding changes.
