On September 18th as part of UPS’s CRECER/Latino BRG initiative, in collaboration with the Hispanic Corporate Council of Atlanta, I had the privilege of speaking at “Latinos Shaping Georgia’s Future: From Community Roots to Global Stages.”
We explored what it means to be rooted in community through tradition, culture, history, heritage, and storytelling. How these roots not only cultivate belonging but also give us the strength to embrace opportunities and challenges ahead, including the chance for Latinos to tell our stories and contribute to the economic impact of major global events.
I had a great time meeting with audience members representing global corporations, small and medium sized businesses, like Becalia Botanicals and Gleam Eyewear, and creatives who are shaping the future of our state.
A heartfelt thank you to Maribel Barron, Corporate Chapter Co-Chair, for organizing, and to Alejandra Elejalde, UPS Global Brand Manager, for being a fantastic moderator. It was a fun to talk about TheSharedWorld and share the stage with incredible leaders: Angelica Guerra, MHR with The Coca-Cola Company, Veronica Maldonado-Torres with the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Orlando Rosa with iHeartMedia Atlanta, and Priscila Torres with 1 Bedroom Studios. Good to see you Felipe Ramírez!
I borrowed a couple of photos: Thanks Priscila Torres, Jose Alvarado, Felipe Ramírez, and Maricielo Fuller!
