This October, TheSharedWorld had the opportunity to support the Honorary Consulate of the Czech Republic in Georgia, the Czech Business Incubator Atlanta (CBIA), and BVV – Trade Fairs Brno in promoting the MSV International Engineering Fair (MSV 2025) in Brno and recruiting a strong Georgia delegation. Excited to share that the mission returns next year from October 5–9 in Brno.
Companies like YER USA and government partners such as Develop Fulton joined the delegation, alongside community and business leaders from Georgia Institute of Technology, PrimeRevenue, Arnall Golden Gregory LLP, Atlanta Tech Park, and Smith + Howard.
A special thank you to Chairman Kwanza Hall and Chairman Robb Pitts for coordinating the participation of Fulton County representatives. The Fulton County delegation was led by Commissioner Khadijah Abdur-Rahman with participation from Treasurer Erica Long and Chief of Staff Vincent B. Watkins, J.D.
Commissioner Khadijah Abdur-Rahman-Rahman captured the purpose of the mission, noting that Georgia and the Czech Republic share a commitment to innovation, strong work ethic, and quality of life. She emphasized that long-term economic growth must be paired with investment in people and communities to ensure companies have the talent needed to thrive. “Cooperation between our businesses, universities, and institutions is the key to sustainable growth and prosperity on both sides,” she said.
MSV 2025 brought together entrepreneurs and institutions for expert panels, matchmaking sessions, a seminar on navigating U.S. trade changes, and a roundtable on innovation. Several Czech companies, including RoboTwin s.r.o., expressed interest in expanding to Georgia through CBIA’s Soft-Landing programs with Georgia Tech.
A major milestone was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Brno Regional Chamber of Commerce, Fulton County, and the Development Authority of Fulton County, reinforcing a shared commitment to deeper cooperation and expanded economic opportunities.The delegation also visited JIC Brno, VUT Brno, UTB Zlín, and concluded with meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Prague.
It was a pleasure working closely with Honorary Consul Monika Vintrlikova, Director Ondřej Rolník, and the BVV Trade Fair team to bring Georgia representatives to this important platform, looking forward to next year.
