GHCC Regional Hispanic Business Expo: Local to Global

Earlier this year, TheSharedWorld’s founder, Vanessa Ibarra, had the chance to moderate an international discussion at the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Regional Hispanic Business Conference & Expo. During the Local to Global panel, we had the chance to discuss the importance of global commerce for the region, resources for companies interested in expanding, and opportunities in #Mexico, #Peru, and #Argentina. While the conversation around trade remains fluid, this panel further reinforced how international trade and FDI supports jobs, revenue growth, and bolsters economic resilience.

๐Ÿ”ถ Roughly three quarters of world purchasing power and over 95% of world consumers are outside America’s borders.
๐Ÿ”ถ In 2023, total trade in Georgia exceeded $186.3 billion. An increase of 26 percent since 2014.
๐Ÿ”ถ In 2022, 41 percent of investments in Georgia came from internationally owned companies, bringing close to $9 billion in investments and creating around 14,000 jobs.
๐Ÿ”ถ The GDP of Latinos living in the United States in 2022 was $3.7 trillion, up from $2.8 trillion in 2019 and $1.6 trillion in 2010. If Latinos living in the United States were an independent country, the U.S. Latino GDP would be the fifth largest GDP in the world.

Thank you to the fantastic panelists for their insights, partnerships, and resources they provide to the many businesses interested in exploring economic opportunities in their respective countries: Consul General of Mexico Javier Diaz de Leon, Consul General of Peru Giancarlo Leon Collazos, and Deputy Consul General of Consulate General of Argentina in Atlanta,Sebastiรกn D’Alessio
