Since June 13, Casa España Atlanta has truly become a second home.
Over the past week, it has been incredible to watch this space come alive through culture, business, sports, and community.
From Málaga Day with flamenco dancers, to the official opening featuring Rafael Louzán, President of the Real Federación Española de Fútbol, Angeles Moreno Bau, Ambassador of Spain to the United States, and Mayor Andre Dickens, to tapas and paella tastings, an exclusive NFL Ambassador event with Matt Shapiro, SVP of Global Events & Market Strategy at the NFL, and Josh Blank, VP of Executive Strategy at AMB Sports & Entertainment, who shared insights into the NFL’s international expansion and the upcoming Atlanta Falcons vs. Cincinnati Bengals game at Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu Stadium on November 8, and now a series of community and student activations, every visit has reinforced the strong and growing ties between Spain and Atlanta.
One of the most unforgettable additions is the breathtaking mural created by my new friends and incredibly talented artists, @artkat0 (Kato) and @lalone_graff (Lalo). Their work deserves a post of its own, so stay tuned! I can’t wait to share the story behind the Vine City Plaza mural, the international collaboration that brought it to life through the Mayor’s Office of International & Immigrant Affairs – Welcoming Atlanta, Turismo de Málaga | Malaga Tourism Board, TheSharedWorld, and many incredible local partners and departments.
This is what happens when Spanish organizations come together with a shared vision to create meaningful programming, celebrate culture, business, and build lasting connections. Congratulations to the incredible team at Quality Media Producciones on bringing Casa España to life and creating a welcoming space that has become a hub for so many memorable experiences.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has made Casa España feel like home, especially the many local organizations who have contributed along the way. It’s become so much more than a venue.
